Brooke Burke-Charvet has undergone surgery for thyroid cancer and is already letting her fans know that she?s doing fine, ?F**k cancer,? she said on Twitter, just hours after leaving the operating room.
The Dancing With The Stars co-host tweeted early Thursday morning as she returned home to recover from her thyoidectomy.
?I?m resting, recovering. Surgery went well. Dr Adashek is a genius. Thx Dr! Feels like I got hit my a car :(? the 41-year-old mother of four tweeted.
The model, who is married to former Baywatch star David Charvet, also revealed her greatest fear had not been realized.
?Thank God it?s over. I?m clean, surgery went well & I can talk. Losing My voice was my biggest fear. Thx for all your prayers & light.?
In the lead up to her cancer surgery Brooke has been very open about her illness.
However the day before her operation, she admitted it has been a very scary time and talking about it has made it both better and worse.
?Ever since I broke the news, I have had to talk about cancer every day to every friendly person that I run into, which has been a constant reminder of the challenges that lie ahead,? she wrote on her blog on Modern Mom.
Thursday?s news that Burke was going to be okay was quickly welcomed by one of the show?s pros Maksim Chmerkovskiy. ?Congrats @brookeburke on a successful surgery! Have a fast recovery! Love you!,? the dancer tweeted.
